The role
An untrained ambassador is worse than none, because they will misrepresent us and we will not know until the damage is done. You make sure that never happens. You own everything a person learns before they speak on behalf of Sankofa Job, and everything they learn afterwards. Seven hundred people, sixteen regions, several languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the one hour orientation every person completes before deployment. Maintain the Ambassadors Handbook and the orientation pack, and reissue them as things change. Run orientation sessions at the volume recruitment demands, online and in person. Train the sixteen Regional Coordinators to deliver orientation themselves, so training scales without you. Build and maintain the toolkit: scripts, objection sheets, the employer approach, the HR Toolkit briefing. Adapt materials into Twi and other Ghanaian languages with the language editor. Run refresher training and address the weaknesses the field reports. Certify every person as trained before a code is issued, and keep that record. Success looks like: no Ambassador ever deployed untrained, and nobody in the field saying they were not told.
Requirements
- Two or more years in training, learning and development, instructional design or field team enablement. Proven ability to train adults with mixed education levels, not only graduates. Experience designing materials people actually use rather than file away. Fluent English and strong Twi. Further Ghanaian languages a real advantage. Willing to travel and to run sessions at short notice.
Benefits
Travel and accommodation on regional sessions. Device and data allowance. Training and certification budget. Named authorship credit on all materials. Growth path to Head of Learning and Development.
