The Central Region carries the heritage tourism of the whole country. Castles, Kakum, resorts, guest houses, tour operators and restaurants hire guides, front desk staff, housekeepers, chefs, drivers and event crew, and hire hardest around festivals and the December season. Where you will work Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, Kakum National Park, Hans Cottage, the beach hotels of Pedu, Ola and Elmina, and the guest houses of Abura. What you will do • Visit hotels, resorts, guest houses, restaurants, tour operators and heritage sites. • Meet managers and register the business on the platform. • Post their standing and seasonal vacancies, and record their festival and December hiring plans. What you deliver each week • At least 8 businesses registered weekly. • At least 4 posting a live vacancy. • A seasonal hiring calendar built up week by week. Who this suits Graduates in tourism, hospitality management, catering, heritage and museum studies, history, or languages such as French, from UCC, Cape Coast Technical University and the hospitality schools. What you will gain • Paid work in the tourism economy you trained for. • A contact list across the region’s hotels, sites and operators. • A route into the Account Manager role. Terms • GHS 1250 weekly, plus GHS 60 for every hotel, guest house or tour operator that posts a vacancy. • Paid weekly, every Friday, by mobile money. Transport reimbursed against receipts. • 4 weeks, renewable up to 12 weeks on performance. • Open to graduates of any institution and any discipline, and to anyone aged 18 and above with the skill this gig calls for. • A valid Ghana Card is required for payment.
